Christmas Arrested
Boynton Beach, FL – You’d think that around this time of year a woman with the name of Merry Christmas would be on her best behavior. But unfortunately, Merry Christmas was arrested and didn’t have the “presents” of mind to beat the wrap. Merry Christmas, 44, who was born on December 28th, was charged with obstructing officers’ investigation into a disturbance at Boynton Beach. The report said police were called around 6 p.m. and found a large crowd in front. Merry Christmas came out and began shouting at another woman police were interviewing, so loudly the second woman began screaming. The officer told Christmas to back off but she didn’t, and the officer ended up arresting her for resisting arrest without violence, a misdemeanor, and was given a notice to appear in court. One can only hope Christmas is out of jail by the 25th.
The Classic Snow Shovel Debate
Council Bluffs, IA – Should a woman have to help her husband clear snow? Hmmm. This has been a debated for years, but the overall consensus is that it is primarily the man’s job. However, an Iowa man was tired of doing this back-breaking work alone…and decided to make his wife pitch in. She of course refused, and instead of avoiding a conflict and buying a snow blower, the man eventually loses his temper and assaults his wife. The 44-year-old woman said her husband struck her in the head with his chest, and attempted to pull her out of the house. She said she had been quarreling with her 45-year-old husband because he had accused her of being lazy around the house. If this is true, she will most likely regret not helping her husband with the shoveling, because now she’ll be the one shoveling all alone while her husband is in jail.
Christmas Tree Thief
Portage, IN – Remember if you’re planning to make your escape by bicycle, make sure you’re not drunk…and trying to carry a stolen Christmas tree. At 1 a.m. police were investigating a motor noise near a Christmas tree lot when they spotted an Indiana man riding a bike while balancing a stolen Christmas tree across the handlebars. The 48-year-old man was riding a bike equipped with a homemade motor but no lights. Police say the man had been drinking at a bar and told police that he bought the tree from the lot. When police explained that the tree lot was closed, he then said that he bought it from the bar. Wrong answer. The man was arrested for theft and public intoxication. The $40 tree, which was marked with a tag, was returned.
