Twain Harte Men’s Golf Club Championships
The Twain Harte Men’s Golf Club held its championship matches this month and the flights were broken up by handicaps. There were four flights. Champion, First flight, Second, and Third. The competition was Match play, which differs from Medal play as the winner of the most holes wins the match, rather than the player with the lowest score. The Club Champion is Zim Zimmerman who beat Alan Bell in their final match.
The First flight winner was Gary Pendleton who defeated Felix Espino. The Second flight was won by Harper Peterson who bested Gus Lima. And the Third flight Champion was Augie Soares who beat Jim Graddy. A good time was had by all, as this annual event added spice to the normal Thursday competition.
