Man on the Street with Greg Kristapovich
If your doctor told you that you only had one more day to live, how would you spend it? (asked in Twain Harte)
“Seeing and doing everything I could do – and spending as much money as I possibly could, with my family. Bungee jumping, skydiving! I’d also probably go and see places, like Yosemite. I haven’t been there yet. I’d want to see that, climb it!” – Cybil Layton, Twain Harte, (hardware cashier)
“Probably go fishing. I usually go fishing a couple times a week, and whenever possible. Fishing’s always good, even if the bite’s bad. And, may as well take the kids one more time.” – Albert Judnich, Sonora, (gardener)
“I went skydiving. I went Rocky Mountain climbing….(Respondent started singing the words to the song, “Live like You Were Dying”). Anyway, I would spend the day with my family. I would find something that they’d enjoy doing the most; and I would do whatever they’d like to do: video games and kids’ stuff. And I’d spend the evening doing extra-curricular activities with a nice gentleman, all night long! A hot gentleman! Actually, he wouldn’t have to be a gentleman. Or, maybe I’d take my boss to Hawaii, ‘cause he’s one helluva guy!” – Kim Dollarhide, Twain Harte, (bartender)
“With my friends and family at the racetrack, Delta Speedway in Stockton! That’s where we race. I race “micro midgets”. They’re little sprint cars. I’d be racing, all day long, until the car broke, or I croaked.” – Shane Myhre, Twain Harte (gas attendant)
“It would depend on my condition and health, but I’d like to spend that day with my wife and the rest of my family…sitting on the banks of Pinecrest Lake, sipping on wine. And if I had the health, I would like to spend that day hiking, which I love to do! Like Yosemite…do Half Dome again!” – Jim Cross, Twain Harte, (retired manager)
