Nana’s Stuffed Eggs (Some parental participation required)
When you think about the Fourth of July you think about picnics. When you think about picnics you think about stuffed eggs. Take these stuffed eggs along on a picnic.
You will need:
6 eggs
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
Paprika
Wash your hands well and read all the directions.
1. Place the eggs in a saucepan.
2. Cover with cold water.
3. Boil for 15 minutes.
4. Ask an adult to remove from heat and drain off hot water.
5. Let eggs stand in cold water for a few minutes.
6. Peel the eggs and cut lengthwise in half.
7. Gently scoop out the yolk.
8. Mash the yolks in a bowl.
9. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, pickle relish, salt and pepper.
10. Mix thoroughly.
11. Spoon the mixture back into the hollows of the egg whites.
12. Sprinkle paprika on top of each egg half.
13. Decorate with parsley leaves or sliced olives.
