Kids On the Rocks
Mud, Sweat, and Gears 4X4 Sonora, a non-profit family-based organization of 4X4 owners seeking to enjoy and help preserve the trails and roads in this scenic state, is gearing up for their annual ‘Kids on the Rocks’ day on Saturday, June 27. This event, the primary charitable community activity of this club, is an opportunity for handicapped children and adults primarily from WATCH program to enjoy a fun day of Jeep rides, pictures with Smokey the Bear, a picnic lunch and fun in the Sierra. Additionally, this club, which was formed in 1973, hosts a cleanup day under the Cal Trans Adopt-A-Highway program to cleanup the debris on a section of the 108 Scenic Highway.
