Dumb and Dumber?
Halifax, CA – A Halifax resident outsmarted two men who kicked in the front door of his apartment at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday and demanded cash. The man told the intruders he did not have any money but offered to go to a bank machine to get some. Amazingly, the dimwitted duo agreed, and waited in the apartment while he went “to get money”…which can also be translated into “calling the cops.” Instead of returning with the cash, the man returned with cops…and both men, ages 51 and 53, were arrested and charged with breaking and entering and robbery. The kicker is that police say the victim and the suspects know each other…So who is the worst friend? The two who broke in to rob their friend…or the friend who called the cops to tattletale on his friends?…
Trick or Arrest?
Kennewick, WA – Although Halloween is a great time to dress up and show your creative ability, one should be warned that there are certain locations one should be careful of what they are dressed as. One of these locations is a bank…especially if you are dressed as a terrorist bomber. A Kennewick man’s Halloween costume “bombed” when he thought it would be funny to wear terrorist costume into a local bank. The cops however, had a different opinion. No one seemed to appreciate his costume and instead of getting laughs he was greeted by policemen who ordered him to lie on the ground. The man was wearing a white robe and turban and had a fake bomb strapped around him. “The device he made was very, very realistic looking,” an officer said. Real enough for someone to call the cops on the 39-year-old, 320 pound 6-foot-3 man. That is one BIG mistake…
The Trail of Beers
Omaha, NE – Next time you decide to break into a convenience store, you might want to avoid leaving a trail of beer cans that leads to your front door. Omaha Police arrested three teenagers for burglary thanks to a trail of beer cans which lead them to a nearby home. Officers investigating a robbery at G’s Mini Mart noticed the door had been pried open. Near the cooler they found a piece of the handle from a case of Bud Light. Missing from the cooler were two cases of Busch Light and a case each of Bud Light and Keystone beer. A search outside the convenience store turned up a can of cold Bud Light. Officers followed a trail of full beer cans to a nearby house where they found beer and a crowbar. Being in the early stages of their life of crime, the teenagers, who were arrested for burglary and possession of burglary tools, will hopefully learn from this amateur mistake…and hopefully next time they will work on their choices of beer…
