Man on the Street with Greg Kristapovich
Thursday, November 27th is Thanksgiving! What are YOU thankful for?
(asked in Soulsbyville)
“I’m most thankful for my family, my wife, our six children, our nineteen grandkids – and our #1 great-grandchild! And I’m thankful for having them with us. I’m thankful for having most of them here in our area. We’ve got four of the kids living here, and two living in Southern California. I’m very thankful for having a family as tight and close as we are.” – Tony Pallante, Sonora, (retired)
“I’m thankful for school, learning, education, sports, skateboarding, football, basketball, baseball, bowling. I’m most thankful for….fun: bowling, laughing, happiness. I’m thankful for Mom, Dad, my brother, my aunt, friends – and the memories.” – Connor McGee, Jamestown, (3rd grade student)
“I’m thankful for my family and my friends – and my house. Yeah, my house is warm. And my bed! It’s comfy! And I’m thankful for my sisters: my baby sister who’s 2 years old, and Trinity, who’s 7. And my pets! I have two dogs, and one cat. And I have, like, twenty other people in my family. I have a huge family! I’m most thankful for my mom and dad, ‘cause they take care of me. If they weren’t there, then, I’d have to buy my own stuff; and I don’t think I can afford a house.” – Charlie Bendix, Soulsbyville, (3rd grade student)
“What I’m most thankful for is probably my parents spending time with me, because I know a lot of kids who don’t have their parents; their parents can’t spend time with them. But my parents spend time with me – as much as they can. And that’s what I’m thankful for. I’m also thankful for, probably, sports. I’m thankful for playing sports, and all that. That’s probably the biggest things. I play football (tight end and linebacker) and basketball (point guard)” – Jake Gustafson, Soulsbyville, (8th grade student)
“I’m thankful for health, family and my two granddaughters. Two beautiful granddaughters! And family. Husband. A good husband, family, friends, my two granddaughters; love ‘em! That’s what I’m thankful for.” – Doris Cutler, Sonora, (deli manager)
