Shot Leads to Pot
Halifax, Canada – If you call the police to your home after a shot is fired, be sure to get rid of the weed and weapons first! Too Nova Scotia men are facing drug and weapons charges after they called Halifax police and claimed that two men had burst into their north-end Halifax apartment, fired a gun and then fled the area. However, when police arrived, they weren’t able to find evidence that a shot had been fired and the cops suggested that maybe a starter pistol or something similar might have been the weapon involved. Yet they were able to find marijuana and a loaded handgun while searching the apartment…resulting in the two men’s arrest for drug trafficking and weapons offences. It probably would’ve been wiser if the two criminals had called Ghostbusters…
Proving a Point Leads to Arrest
Las Vegas, NV – Two women are under arrest for kidnapping after police say they tried to prove a point about an elementary school’s security. Officers say a woman who was dropping her son off for school, picked up a different boy she saw walking away from school. She then drove him around to several different locations and then took the boy to a friend’s house, where police say they arranged local media outlets to meet them at the Clark County Board of Trustees building where they would turn the boy over to the School District. When the women and boy arrived at the school building, they were met by Clark County School District Police and were handcuffed and questioned. After speaking to the women, it became clear that she had kidnapped the first grader….but in her defense, she was only trying to make a point! Her point was that she “was only trying to do the right thing and point out there is a problem with school security.” Unfortunately the police didn’t get the point and the two women were arrested for first degree kidnapping and were booked into jail. Remember; never try to make a point by kidnapping!
Playtime is Over
Rocklin, CA – Since when is it against the law to ask people in a park if they want to “hang out and play?” Oh yeah, when the man asking the question is naked. Rocklin police arrested a man for indecent exposure at Whitney Community Park after responding to a 911 call from a caller who claimed that a naked man was chasing him through the park. One adult and two 17-year-olds told officers that a naked male walked up to them and asked if they wanted to play. The startled victims got up and ran toward their vehicle. During a search of the area, officers located a clothed but suspicious-acting man and the victims identified the man as the person who wasn’t wearing clothes when he approached them. He was booked into jail for indecent exposure. A similar incident took place in the park two weeks earlier when a man and woman sitting on a bench in the same park told officers a naked man approached them and asked if he could hang out with them. Well, if they were both sent to the same jail, maybe the two could ‘hang out’ together…
