Visitors to the open house relax and enjoy some freshly made, hand-cranked vanilla ice cream. In the background is the Old Columbia Schoolhouse, the first 2-story brick schoolhouse in California! In 1937, California passed the Earthquake Safety Act, and the school was deemed substandard, and closed.
